Search and Rescue Drone Development -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm looking for an expert to help design and implement a Search and Rescue (SAR) drone. This drone will primarily be used as a visual aid in hard-to-access locations during search and rescue missions. It should be capable of rapid response in the event of natural calamities and have an efficient method for searching for missing people in and around woods and forests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize PX4 or ArduPilot software to operate and control the drone.
- Implement the use of the PX4 Autonomy Developer kit, DEXI, and Holybro X500 V2 in the design and construction of the drone.
- Research and explore various ways to enhance the drone’s capabilities, focusing on mission modelling, object detection, simulation, collaboration, security, and safety.
Drone Features:
- Incorporate thermal imaging as a primary visual aid.
- Implement advanced object detection systems for locating missing persons or identifying potential hazards.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with drone technology and software, specifically PX4 and ArduPilot.
- Proficient in using and configuring the PX4 Autonomy Developer kit, DEXI, and Holybro X500 V2.
- Strong background in research and development, particularly in relation to drones and SAR missions.
- Familiarity with AI and its application in enhancing drone capabilities for SAR missions.
