Pulse Width Modulation "TMS320C28x "

We are developing a power electronics related embedded system and using " TMS320C28x 32-bit CPU'. Pulse width is always wide open when we start and hence we are getting high starting currents. We are not able to reduce the pulse width. We need help to review our code for PWM settings up for this micro controller.
