Protection of overvoltage in DC DC converter
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have DC/DC step-up TPS5450 to have two selectable outputs with two 10K multiturn potentiometers.
When I switch from the first potentiometr to second there is a time where the DC has open feedback and it tries to correct output voltage by going to maximum value of 20Vpp for few milliseconds.
(there is a TVS D2 that has a 20V clamp voltage).
The normal range of output is 3 - 18VDC and load is inductive.
I need to avoid this adding some simple components (resistor, capacitor, mosfet)
I can't change 10K potentiometrs and I need to have same range of output voltage.
