My Precor 800 UBK bike sat unused for a few years, and when I powered it back up the console lit as normal but the touchscreen stayed completely unresponsive. I have already swapped in a fresh battery; the circuit-board LEDs confirm that power is reaching the console, yet the panel itself never registers a touch. No other electrical or mechanical problems are present.
I need someone familiar with Precor electronics who can pinpoint the failure—whether it’s the LCD, the touch-overlay, a ribbon cable, or a fault on the console board—and get the screen working again. Remote diagnostic help is welcome if you can walk me through meter tests or firmware checks, but I’m open to on-site service if you are nearby and have the right parts.
