PEER-TO-PEER (P2P) ENERGY TRADING FOR DC MICROGRID SYSTEM.
Budget: $30 – $300 AUD
To develop a peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading scheme to facilitate the energy exchanges between the nodes in an autonomous DC microgrid system. The node comprises of renewable energy resources (rooftop photovoltaic) and local battery, with specific DC load demand. To ensure the energy transactions (purchasing and selling) meet the highest level of integrity, the blockchain system is implemented. In addition, the microgrid is supported by a community energy storage system (CES); it is a shared resource, used when the participants of the microgrid (i.e., nodes) could no longer support the demand by their peers.
Two strategies: In stage one, a simulation using MATLAB is carried out to determine the feasibility of CES to achieve microgrid autonomy. Stage two allows the microgrid to incorporate with the P2P trading by means of blockchain technology (any blockchain platform).
