PCB design: analog input-output circuit with microcontroller -- 2

This job is for designing and testing an analog I/O PCB.

PCB requirements

1. At least four 16-bit analog input channels. The input voltage range will be +/-10V. The speed needs to be >10 MSPS.

2. At least four 16-bit analog output channels. The output voltage range needs to be +/-10V. The speed needs to be >1 MSPS

3. Four (or more) digital I/O channels. 0 to 3.3V logic is preferred, but 0 to 5V logic is acceptable. Ideally the device could tolerate both.

4. Microcontroller daughterboard that can be programmed with the Arduino IDE (e.g., a Teensy 4.1).

5. Schematic design and layout in Eagle. If you don't have Eagle already, please add Eagle subscription fees to your bid (note: Eagle costs 60 USD for one month).

6. I will provide a PCB design template (a specific form factor is required).

How the job will proceed

1. The PCB design entails product selection, schematic design, and PCB layout.

2. After the PCB is designed, you will send a prototype for manufacture. You are welcome to use your own manufacturer, or I can recommend one to you. Get however many copies you need to successfully test the PCB, and get an additional copy to be sent to me.

3. You will then test the completed PCB. This means confirming the DAC/ADC and digital pins work well with the Arduino IDE (i.e., setting up the Arduino IDE communication).

4. Once the PCB is successfully tested, you will send me the design files (i.e., the schematic file, the PCB file, and the BOM) and example Arduino IDE code that can successfully communicate with the ICs on the board.

5. I will test the PCB. Once I have confirmed that everything is in working order, the job will close.

Important notes

1. Do not put the cost of PCB manufacture in your bid. Send me the bill and I will pay the manufacturer directly.

2. I will need ample time for testing. Please expect several days turnaround for this.

3. Do not make major decisions on the PCB design without asking my opinion first. This will surely result in things needing to be changed later.

4. This job is for PCB *development* based on my input. That means that there will inevitably be revision at various stages, and in the development process I may require tweaks that I didn't initially foresee. Please factor ample revision time into your bid.

5. It is important to get as much speed out of this circuit as possible. Care must be taken when considering the number of pins and the type of ADC/DAC interface to optimize speed. Preference will be given to bids that give me a sense of how many MSPS they can make the ADC and DAC stages.

6. My project budget is just a placeholder. I will seriously consider all bids, including those priced above my budget. However, you MUST be transparent about your costs from the beginning.
