OCR scanner in a pen to send physical text to the cloud
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I want to collaborate with someone who can make a pen scanner prototype similar to Hyler (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-PLJwQwylA). Must be able to highlight text on a physical book that gets synced to the cloud i.e. Google Docs etc.
This is done by ScanMarker that's available on Amazon - but I am looking to build a better version of that using 3d printing as a prototype. For the purpose of the project, I am just looking to get the prototype done.
The pen should be able to highlight text as you'd normally do - just below the line in a book. I assume a camera mounted 1cm above the tip will capture the text that's directly above the imaginary highlighted line and will use OCR to capture the text - this way it's as natural as highlighting using a sharpie pen.
