Navigation Without Encoder Data with ROS

Hello Friends.
I want to create a navigating robot with ROS, this will be my final project and I really need to do this. ( ı have little robot ı created 3D printer )
Hardware List I Have:
Two DC motors
Rplidar
Raspberry pi 4 Model B
Software I have:
ROS melodic
Ubuntu 18.04
I've tried mapping and its variants before. ( hector_slam and cartographer )
I have a python file for differential driving and I can move it using the robot ( teleop ) with speed control.
I need to navigate.
