Motor selection and PLC programming

The project is to replace a fixed speed A/C motor in a miniature clothes washer with a variable speed motor. This motor spins the agitator in the washing machine.

Deliverables:
Motor recommendation
Controller and all ancillary devices needed for the motor/controller (wiring, connectors, controller housing, etc. as required) to make this a finished "product".
Software/Programming
Negotiable- You assemble all the electronics to demonstrate functionality

Specs for motor being replaced:
1800 no-load RPM
110 volts, 60Hz, 120 watts, 1.9 max amps per the label on the motor
Max torque is 1.5 N-m per an Alibaba spec sheet.
The motor is connected to a ~11.6:1 gear reduction system that subsequently spins the agitator at ~150 RPM which multiplies the max torque at the agitator shaft to 155 in-lb (2494 oz-in).

I am going to eliminate the gear reduction system and direct drive the agitator off the new motor’s spindle for simplicity. I need a ~2,000-2,500 oz-in torque motor at ~ 300 RPM but still have good torque up to 600 RPM.

Controller can be whatever simple PLC the motor supplier/manufacturer recommends or maybe Ardino or ??

Safety- This will be used in a potentially wet environment. The motor will sit directly under a 25 gallon basin of water and a rubber seal through which the agitator shaft rotates.

Programming

This should be pretty straight forward. The existing analog/mechanical AC motor controller rotates the motor forward, pauses, rotates reverse, pauses then back forwards for a user selectable amount of time up to 15 minutes. It has two settings, high and low.

High: Forward 10 seconds, pause 4 seconds, reverse 10 seconds, pause 4 seconds
Low: Forward 7 seconds, pause 7 seconds, reverse 7 seconds, pause 7 seconds

For the deliverable I just need one program mimicking the above sequence that can be operated and parameters easily adjusted by a skilled technician.

I’d like the following parameters adjustable:
RPM, acceleration rate, duration of forward rotation, deceleration rate, duration of pause, acceleration rate, duration of reverse rotation.

The acceleration and deceleration will be used to prevent stripping the splines on the agitator shaft as well as to test inducing turbulence to the washer water while still trying to not strip the splines.

Needs to plug into standard 110v outlet, 20 amp max, VFD is OK if 3-phase motor is selected.
