Medical Device Power Supply Schematic Review (IEC 61010 / IEC 61326 Compliance) Project Description
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need an experienced Power Electronics / Hardware Design Engineer to review and verify my medical IVD device power supply schematic before PCB layout.
This is not a design project. The schematic has already been completed. I need an expert to perform a detailed design review, identify any issues, and recommend improvements before PCB layout and compliance testing.
The power supply includes:
12V DC Input
12V to 5V / 3A Buck Converter
5V to 3.3V LDO Regulator
Reverse Polarity Protection
Input Fuse
TVS Protection
Common Mode Choke (CMC)
Ferrite Beads
ESD Protection
EMI Input & Output Filters
Power Distribution for Digital and Analog Circuits
Scope of Work
Review the complete power supply schematic
Verify component selection and values
Review buck converter and LDO design
Review fuse, TVS, ESD, and reverse polarity protection
Review EMI/EMC filtering and power integrity
Identify design mistakes, reliability concerns, or potential compliance issues
Suggest improvements before PCB layout
Provide PCB layout recommendations for improved EMI/EMC performance
Recommend changes that will improve first-pass compliance testing
Preferred Experience
Applicants should have experience with:
Power Electronics

Low-Noise Power Supply Design
EMI/EMC Design
PCB Layout Review
Medical and Industrial Electronics
Medical IVD Equipment
Compliance-oriented hardware design
Knowledge of the following standards is highly preferred:
IEC 61010-1
IEC 61010-2-101
IEC 61326-2-6
IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC knowledge is an advantage)
IEC 61000 Series
CISPR 11
CISPR 32
Experience with regulatory requirements such as CE, FDA, BIS, CDSCO, or other international medical device approvals will be considered a strong advantage.

PCB layout recommendations
Final design review report before PCB layout
