Locate vibrations over coax cable with Time-domain reflectometer TDR
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Development and design of a turnkey system component to embed in a board from A to Z of an electronic board plus basic configuration software.
The expectation is to design a circuit that uses boards/chips/circuits/systems that exist in western sources like Mouser, Digikey and etc.
The purpose of the project is: We have a board that can sense vibrations from a coax-like cable, I would like to add another layer based on TDR and locate those vibrations, the typical length of cable is up to 300m/1000ft. The detection and location will be combined into 1 solution that provides an alarm with a specific location.
This circuit will be embedded into our board, our current processor is a PIC32.
ANSWER SPECIFICALLY: Do you know or have specific experience with TDR development? have you read my requirement in detail and understood what I would like to do? If you please ask clarification questions
Please describe exactly which chip or boards would you use for this project, how would you solve this issue?
