Lithium/solar charging sub-circuit (schematic) for existing PCB
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
We are a company that produces an automatic watering system powered by a 2900mAh li-ion battery. It is currently charged from a 10W solar panel using a linear regulator, limited to approx 300mA. This circuit produces too much heat, and does not charge the battery fast enough. We would like to replace this with a dedicated li-ion charging circuit which can supply up to 1A, from a typical "12v" (up to 21v) 50W solar panel.
The task will be to design a schematic. We will incorporate the schematic into our main design and we will do the PCB layout. You will need to choose components from the JLCPCB catalogue. Using the EasyEDA design platform will probably be easiest for integration to our project.
The output of the task will be a schematic and a BOM, with secondary part options for each primary component (to be used if stock levels of primary component are low).
The design will need to be compliant to UKCA and CE standards for EMC interference, and choose components which are RoHS compliant.
