LTspice Simulation Model Creation for Buck-Boost SMPS
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I'm seeking a proficient engineer to create a detailed simulation model in LTspice for a Buck-Boost SMPS design.
Key Components for Inclusion:
- Half-bridge with MOSFETs, where the MOSFETs have built-in antiparallel diodes
- Control using a function generator, logic inverter, and high/low gate driver
- Both buck and boost modes must be demonstrated
- DC link overvoltage protection must shut down the converter if the voltage exceeds 60 V
- Power supply with a maximum of 30 V
- The converter must deliver/absorb a DC current (on the inductor side) of up to 5 A
Ripple voltage on the DC link capacitor (under the worst-case current and output voltage conditions) and
on the output capacitor (when the output is unloaded) must not exceed 100 mV peak-to-peak
- When calculating the ripple on the DC link capacitor, assume that no ripple current can flow back into the
power supply
To Design
- Gate resistors for the MOSFETs
- Bootstrap circuit design, including:
- Minimum value and voltage rating of the bootstrap capacitor
- Minimum value and voltage rating of the DC link capacitor
- Minimum value and voltage rating of the output capacitor
- Design and component values for the protection circuit
- Identify which circuits need to be built with low inductance
- Expected losses in the MOSFETs + diodes and in the inductor under the given conditions
- Temperature rise of the MOSFETs at -5 A and +5 A
To Measure:
- Efficiency as a function of inductor current from -5 A to +5 A, for three different inductor values, each
time at a DC link voltage of 30 V
- Waveforms of the inductor current and voltage across the output capacitor, including screenshots for the
report
I look forward to your proposals.
