Home IoT Monitoring Device Development

Job ID: 40561797

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I’m building a small-scale IoT device dedicated to continuous monitoring and data collection inside a typical home. The core goal is to sense key environmental parameters, push them securely to the cloud, and expose the readings in real time for later analysis.

Here’s what I already have in mind: a compact, low-power microcontroller (ESP32 or similar), Wi-Fi connectivity, and a simple set of sensors—temperature, humidity and possibly light or motion—though I’m open to strong technical suggestions. I’ll need you to design the hardware layout, write reliable firmware, and set up the data pipeline (MQTT, REST or another lightweight protocol that fits a home network). Clean, well-documented code with OTA update support is essential.

Deliverables
• Schematic and PCB files ready for fabrication
• Firmware source with build instructions
• Basic cloud or local server script for storing and visualising the data
• Short user guide covering setup, flashing and operation

Acceptance will be based on the device booting, joining a standard home Wi-Fi network, streaming accurate sensor data for at least 24 hours, and recovering gracefully from a power cycle.

If this sounds like a good fit, let’s discuss timelines and any component choices you’d like to recommend.
