Fix an existing electrical design

We designed a simple circuit to illuminate some LEDs. However, once we wire more than 7, the circuit no longer works. The goal is to get to 10 LEDs with this configuration. We would like help in selecting the correct resistor values and LEDs for this application. It would be nice if someone could simulate this using some software to ensure that it works as well.
