Embedded System Development - ESP32
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We're seeking an experienced embedded systems engineer to conduct a thorough review of our existing product source code, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to ensure the system is reliable and adheres to best practices. Based on the engineer's experience and understanding of the product, this may evolve into an ongoing project with future development responsibilities.
The current system architecture consists of an ESP32 MCU, 2-axis PMDC motor control, position feedback for limited sensing for each motor, and a CAN BUS J1939 communication protocol. The system operates heavy vehicles on a wide voltage range of 12-32 Volts DC, with motors rated at 12v. Firmware development takes place in an Arduino & Platform.io environment.
This is a long-term project, and we're looking for an embedded systems engineer who can collaborate with us over the next few years to expand the capabilities of our product. While there is no urgent deadline for this project, we're eager to accelerate development and ensure that our product meets the highest standards of reliability and best practices.
We're committed to finding the right engineer to join our team, and we're excited to collaborate on this project and future development opportunities.
The ideal candidate should be located in Melbourne or live in Australia and be able to visit our Melbourne office periodically. We're a team of engineers who love developing our products and work closely with the industry to implement improvements.
If you're an experienced embedded systems engineer with a proven track record of reviewing and improving existing product source code, we'd love to hear from you!
