Electronic - Sense proximity, transmit signal through wireless to activate a motor
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We are looking for a creative and experienced Electronic Engineer to build the below prototype for industrial application.
Objective: Actuate a 1 kW 1 phase electric motor based on liquid level in a tank.
More specifically, the following is the functional logic requirement:
1. Sense liquid level in a tank (15 cm to 1 m). The sensor should be non-contact type, for example, ultrasonic sensor. The selected sensor should be water proof as water may splash over it.
2. Wireless transmittance of the above sensed signal to a motor control unit. The distance is 30 meter and building walls would be present in between.
3. Motor control unit - Should receive the water level, and based on it, start and stop the motor (1 kW 1 phase). Detailed logic would be shared latter.
4. The water level should be communicated to a smartphone (Android/iOS) through Bluetooth. The smart phone will be present near the motor control unit.
5. Note - The system for sensing the liquid level and its wireless transmittance are to be powered by battery. So the system should be designed for minimal power consumption to maximize battery life.
6. Note - The components used and system design should be suitable for high volume manufacturing (for example, 10,000 units). Appropriate industrial standards are to be followed.
7. Note - WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR? As mentioned, the focus is to go for high volume manufacturing. So the system designed should be optimized for cost and performance. We are NOT looking for a system design that just does meet the functional requirement. The cost of the system must also be optimized.
Deliverable: A complete physical system that includes all the required components to accomplish the above task. Price for the components, upon discussion, would be paid additionally.
If you need any other information, please contact us.
Please take some time to provide a cover letter specific to this project and mention how you could specifically provide value addition. A general cover letter is not what we are looking for. If you write a specific cover letter, I can assure you that you would get a prompt response from us, probably on the same day.
