Freelance Electronic Engineer – Interactive Racing Project

Role Overview
We are looking for a Freelance Electronic Engineer to support an interactive car and racing track setup, involving IoT-based hardware, app integration, and trigger-based interactions (e.g., a physical button triggering a car launch).
The role requires hands-on assistance in setup, testing, integration, and troubleshooting, ensuring all electronic, IoT, and software components work seamlessly together.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in hardware setup and wiring for the car and racing track installation
Support IoT device setup, configuration, and connectivity
Install and configure required applications and control software
Integrate physical triggers (e.g., button to launch the car) with the system logic
Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation
Ensure all components (hardware, software, IoT devices) run together smoothly
Provide on-site demo support during February (up to 5 days)
Suggest iterations, optimisations, and technical solutions during testing
Assist with troubleshooting during setup and initial runs

Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in electronics engineering
Experience with IoT setups, sensors, triggers, and controllers
Familiarity with app installation, system configuration, and integration
Hands-on experience with testing, debugging, and hardware-software integration
Ability to quickly diagnose issues and propose practical solutions
Experience with interactive installations, events, or experiential setups is a plus

Project Expectations
Availability for pre-project support in February (demo & setup phase)
Active involvement from 1st March onwards during project execution
Collaborative approach with tech team
On-site presence during key setup and testing phases
