Design an electronic circuit which will turn battery power on while main power is not working -- 2
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a Raspberry PI and 12V LCD which is running with 12V adapter. I need to add battery functionality to the system using mosfets. When the adapter is on, the circuit should block the battery power in order to save power on the battery. When we disconnect the power adapter, the circuit must automatically put the battery power on. Important point, no relays should be used. I'm uploading the example circuit which I found (not sure if it works).
It will drive a Raspberry PI and an LCD together, so the circuit must be able to give up to 4 amps.
I need to have one 2 color led diode which indicates which channel is active (red & green, 3 pins footprint, leg distances are as same as IRF530N).
For input and ouput connectors KF301-2P 5mm screw connectors will be used.
To be able to run smoothly on switcing, add before output a capacitor (I have 100uf 16v if suits)
Project design must be proven that it works. For example in the simulation.
As output, I need a Proteus file with the pcb design ready. As simple as possible, as small as possible :)
I have TIP120, IRF510, IRF530N, IRF9540N at my place, better we can use them if they are suitable.
