GM Delco Radio Head Unit Repair And Upgrade
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I looking for a freelancer to modernize my General Motors Delco Radio head unit (Google: Model 16154435 GM Delco) with Raspberry Pi or similar controller so it looks like my original head unit from 1991 but understands Bluetooth, subwoofer, USB and possible Wifi + Spotify etc...
I can provide an original Delco Radio head unit for this project to begin with.
The classic Radio unit features

- Controls for Radio stations
- 8 memory banks
- Speakers Fade (rear - front)
- Speakers balance (left - right)
- Volume control
- Tune control.
- Single color segment display which brigthness reacts to cars Lightning brightness controls
What I am looking for the modernised version

- Project must use buttons and front face of the original head unit so it looks "classic"
- Display can be upgraded.
- Control buttons must work like in the original radio (I can provide button instructions)
- Some necessary changes to button functions (so we can control EQ, Subwoofer and other settings)
- Audio sources: (minimum) FM Radio, USB, Bluetooth
- Audio output: 4 channel audio + Subwoofer support

During the project, we can communicate using Google Meet, Teams, Discord, Signal or some other method. I have two of these radio units - one is complete dissassembled and one is intact.
