DCC Circuit Breaker for Model Trains
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking to have a DCC circuit breaker designed specifically for my model train setups. It must be rated for 12V and have the following features:
- Overload Protection: The circuit breaker must safeguard against excessive current levels potentially damaging my model trains.
- Short Circuit Protection: It's imperative that the breaker can disconnect circuits immediately upon detecting a short circuit.
- Fault Detection: No mishaps should go unnoticed. The breaker should be able to identify faults in the circuit promptly.
Due to the nature of my project revolving around miniature electronic equipment, an understanding and experience working on small-scale electronics would be ideal. A background in railway-oriented electronics would be a bonus, but not a necessity. Deep knowledge in voltage regulation and safety measures on the mentioned gadgets is a must. Skills in creating compact, efficient designs that can fit seamlessly into the model train layout is a plus.
