I am looking for a qualified Freelancer to create surgical navigation software for me. We intend to create a software system specifically designed to be used as a surgical navigation system that employs 3D tracking technology. The system will have the ability to provide real-time, accurate visualization and guidance.
We plan to utilise patient CT (computed tomography) imaging to provide detailed 3D anatomical information, which is then combined with navigation technology, for real-time guidance.
Surgeons can use the CT images to create detailed preoperative plans. By segmenting and visualizing specific structures or regions of interest and identify optimal entry points and paths. During surgery, the navigation system tracks the movement of surgical instruments in real time and displays their position relative to the patient's anatomy on the CT images. The navigation system assists in precisely locating and accessing these targets based on their coordinates from the CT scan. Surgeons receive continuous feedback on their instrument's location and trajectory as they manipulate it - via a imaged displayed on a screen.
We are hoping that tracking can be utilised with a free hand drill guide(the guides position is tracked), as well as with a programmable robotic arm (which will hold the drill guide).
