I have a pump located inside a river and an 800-meter long cable connected to a three-phase 380V motor. I need a way to detect a broken cable, but outside the electrical panel, which is far from the motor. When the motor is powered, it can't be stolen because someone is nearby. So, I need to detect a broken (stolen) cable using the motor phase, applying a signal to one end and receiving it at the other, considering the motor coil as a path.

I detect the voltage with a capacitive system and coupler, where after the photocoupler I use a 10k pullup resistor and a 1k resistor to activate and deactivate a 2n2222 transistor and which I activate a relay. When this relay is deactivated, it means that there is voltage, so I activate another photocoupler (coupler 2). Then when it is not powered, I use the relay to send negative DC in one phase, and in the other I take the return (since it is in a motorcycle with a coil) to also activate this second photocoupler, that is, if the second photocoupler has activated, it means that it is ok, and it can be activated if AC power from 220v to 400v enters or if the cable is not broken and without power. To avoid a negative DC and AC return conflict, I use a diode to send negative and several resistors (24 5W resistors (3 blocks of 8 resistors in series). My question is, if there could be a conflict, to inject GND and pick up a signal on the other wire (another phase). I have a negative biased diode, but it is connected directly to the AC and to the coupler, which receives negative, either to detect or from the relay that signals that there is voltage.

My spark problem is only when I connect the AC; only afterward does it work. Every time I turn it on, it sparks. However, if I stop receiving a signal on the phase to detect, it doesn't spark.
