Comprehensive MOSFET-Controlled BMS Design

Job ID: 39059165

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I'm seeking an expert for designing a robust Battery Management System (BMS) with MOSFET control using Altium Designer. The BMS should incorporate a range of essential features and protective measures.

Key Requirements:
- Overcharge and Over-discharge Protection: The system should prevent battery damage due to excessive charging or discharging.
- Current Balancing: Implement a mechanism to balance the current across all cells in the battery pack, ensuring uniform performance.
- Temperature Monitoring: Include temperature sensors to monitor the battery's thermal condition.
- Overvoltage Protection (OVP): Design the system to handle overvoltage situations.
- Active Balancing: This should be integrated, allowing for real-time adjustments and optimizations.
- Short-Circuit Protection: Ensure the system can safeguard against potential short-circuit scenarios.

Deliverables:
- Complete design including simulations, schematics and PCB layout.
- A 4-6 Layer board.
- Gerber files for production.
- Testing report demonstrating the system's functionality and reliability.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Altium Designer with a strong understanding of PCB design.
- Proven experience in designing Battery Management Systems.
- Familiarity with MOSFET control and its application in BMS.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive design documentation and testing reports.
- Experience with creating 4-6 layer boards and producing Gerber files.

This project will be hand on development along with teaching the team here.

The BMS design should be optimized for use in electric vehicles. The BMS design should be specifically tailored for Lithium-ion battery cells. Include support for CAN Bus communication interface.
