Close loop stepper and servo motor expert

I have a robot arm programmer who has gotten a bit busy, at the same time we have encountered firmware problems with our current CANBUS ICL-stepper motors and have decided to buy another brand.

The current motors lacks SYNC messages and has a limit on the lowest possible speed that makes then unsuitable for robotics, my programmer says. Or we are doing it wrong as we can't get the motors perfectly synced. I need to look for these new motors, but im not an electronics guy, but a mechanical design engineer. And as my programmer is busy with other, i need your help to figure out which motors we should use instead.

I will give you motor suggestions, and you will look at the specs and help me to write questions to the motor maker if the manual is lacking any information.
