Arduino Sketch for DC Motor Control with Soft Start - Automatic Door Control

Job ID: 32080626

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

Please read the specification below and submit your written understanding on what needs to be achieved. Use your own words! If you do not do this, your expression of interest will be deleted. I will immediately release a $50 milestone to the winning contractor who shows this effort.

The hardware, is fixed, please do not ask if you can use another platform for payment.
If you ask for payments to another account, you will be reported and blocked.
The timeline is strictly 7 days from awarding!! So, ASK QUESTIONS!!
Payment is in AUD.
Full payment will be released on completion only!

Hardware that must be used is:
Arduino Uno
Cytron MD10C Motor Controller
24vdc brushless Motor with Rotary Encoder (2 channel)

On startup, the motor needs to turn on at very slow speed and drive until the first stop point has been detected, this will need call "startPoint". It will then reverse direction and drive until the second stop point has been detected, This we will call "endPoint". eg. Find zero point, then open to maximum. Count pulses and store in RAM or EEprom. Every application will be different count.

The detection process for the start/stop points must be sensed by monitoring the duty cycle of the encoder pulses.

Now the motor should reverse direction again and return to startPoint. and Initialisation is now complete.
On button press, the motor will soft start and drive to the endPoint, however, it must slow down before reaching the endPoint. On next button press, the motor will drive back to startPoint, also slowing down before reaching startPoint.

Other considerations:
Motor speed during initialisation needs to be fixed as slow.
Motor speed after button press needs to be adjustable in the sketch.
Slowing distance needs to be adjustable in the sketch.
Slow movement speed needs to be adjustable in the sketch.
The motor will carry varying loads, so PWM needs to be monitored to keep constant speed when operating.
Project will be fixed price, however, future development will be required as an ongoing project.
