Adjustable 10 kV HV Supply

Job ID: 40081968

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I’m running a series of lab experiments that call for a dedicated high-voltage source, so I need a self-contained module that can deliver a clean, adjustable 5 kV – 10 kV DC output. The adjustability itself is the key requirement; everything else is secondary. If a compact footprint and rock-solid stability can be achieved as a by-product, that would be a welcome bonus, but it is not a hard constraint.

The job covers the full design cycle: schematic, transformer or multiplier topology, protection circuitry, PCB layout, BOM, and concise user notes explaining calibration, operation, and safety. I’m happy to discuss sensible current limits that keep the design practical and safe for bench use.

Deliverable acceptance will be based on:

• Smooth, repeatable adjustment across the 5–10 kV range without arcing or excessive ripple
• Clear means of setting and monitoring the output (pot, encoder, or similar)
• Output stability suitable for standard physics research loads (exact figures to be agreed once we define the current draw)
• Complete CAD files (KiCad, Altium, or similar) plus a brief video or photo confirming a prototype reaches spec

Once these points are met, the project will be considered complete and ready for fabrication on my end. Let’s discuss any questions you have so we can pin down the finer details and get the design started.
