protect circuit from inductive load (fan, capacitor based regulator)

I need someone to help me protect the circuit from an inductive load with a lifetime operation of long term. To ensure that the circuit does not flicker or misbehave, I need transient voltage suppression, current limiting or fuse-less protection to be employed. Since this particular circuit will be used with an inductive load, specifically, whoever takes on this project must possess the knowledge and expertise to ensure the circuit works properly for extended periods of time. Any solutions must be reliable and durable enough to sustain its functions in the long run.
