BACKGROUND:
The company has received a request from a new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generator that wants to connect to our network with an export requirement of 30MVA. The CHP unit has been sited close to nearby greenhouses which can use the heat and CO2 emissions to increase their growing productivity as well as sell the electricity they generate. The company is focused on providing connections to customers with the appropriate connection at the lowest cost to serve, within an appropriate and agreed timescale.
You have been established as a Project Team to work on this request.
TASK:
As an individual, you should undertake an assessment and develop a high-level plan to deliver the connection project.
The emphasis is on demonstrating the assessment of the overall project. This should include electrical, consents, environmental, third party and stakeholder impacts. You should consider the size and scale of the project, the impact on the Network, any constraints and the delivery options.
