90° automatic door control system with MPC and PI

I am planning to develop a project involving the control of a 90° automatic door using a PMDC (Permanent Magnet DC) motor. The objective is to implement and compare the performance of both MPC (Model Predictive Control) and PI (Proportional-Integral) controllers. The control parameters that will be considered are speed and current. Additionally, I would like to observe and analyze the behavior of door angle, speed, and current as the control is applied.

I have attached the model and motor parameters as photos for your reference. The desired functionality of the system is to open the door to a 90° angle and bring it to a stop. To control the rotation of the motor, I intend to utilize PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and an H-bridge in conjunction with the chosen controller.

The development environment for this project will be Matlab/Simulink. My budget for this project is 250€, and I require it to be completed within one week. Please feel free to ask any further questions you may have.
