Techno-economic evalutaion of a micro-grid system based on the gasification of municipal solid waste
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need an expert to perform the techno-economic evaluation of a micro-grid system based on a gasification power plant. The outputs of the plant are already simulated. Therefore assessment of a selected capacity of 10kW and extrapolate to 100kW is to be performed with results showing the financial feasibility and GHG emission levels. This will be performed using RET Screen software after gathering the logistics for this project scale.
The tasks will include
1. Designing a simple microgrid, integrating the modelled gasification plant to supply energy for given range of energy demand.
2. Window shop for the costs for gasification plants and the components (gas turbine and generator) to make a micro-grid, determining the full cost and cost per kWh. A detailed description of components used, the manufacturer, cost and efficiency used should be given. Reporting and academic writing skills are therefore required.
3. Economic feasibility to be determined based on profitability and payback period and a comprehensive report showing the analysis using RET Screen should be delivered.
