Subdivision Underground Electrical Design
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I need a complete underground electrical service design for a new 25-lot residential subdivision. We already have a detailed civil layout, so you can work directly from that drawing set when positioning transformers, switchgear, street-lighting feeds and service laterals.
The subdivision will use conduits with pulling cables throughout. I want the plan to cover conductor sizing, conduit schedules, trench depth and separation requirements, load calculations for each home, grounding and bonding, and the main service entrance equipment all the way to the individual meter bases. Please apply all applicable NEC articles as well as the local ESA utility’s service-installation standards( Table 8 ) ; . Short-circuit and voltage-drop checks must be shown in the calculations.
Deliverables (PDF + CAD):
• Overall site power plan, to scale, ready for city/utility submittal
• Single-line diagram update and panel schedules for the 25 services
• Conduit and cable schedule with fill and pull calculations
• Trench cross-sections showing required separations
• Load, voltage-drop and fault-current calculations in an editable spreadsheet
• Written installation notes/specifications for the contractor
I will review for code compliance and clarity; if a plan checker returns comments limited to drafting tweaks or additional callouts, one revision round is part of the scope. Let me know your experience with residential subdivisions and which CAD/engineering tools you’ll use so I can confirm compatibility with our files.
