Solar PV System Designer for 59.4kW Grid-Tie
Budget: $20 – $120 USD
I'm seeking an experienced Photovoltaic (PV) system designer who can provide comprehensive stringing and specification for lighting and grid surge protection, sizing of AC and DC cabling, and AC service panels (work/communicate based on what equipment we already have). This system is a partially installed 60kW Grid-Tie PV system (Most modules installed already and inverters on site). This is for an established business set in a commercial/industrial location. The primary aim of this project is to reduce electricity costs and therefore must be cost-efficient.
The system consists of:
- 108 x 550w Modules (Roof Mounted)
- 2 x 30kWp 3 Phase Inverters (we operate on three phase, four wire, 400/230 volt service)
Main Tasks:
1. Design stringing based on specs (include drawings)
2. Spec all lighting protection, AC & DC combiner/disconnect equipment (Optional: Suggest procurement sources preferably options that can be bought from the USA)
3. Recommend DC and AC cable sizing and over current protection sizing & devices
Note: Final submission of information to be compiled in 1 document that can be shared with installation team.
Ideal Skills:
• Extensive knowledge and experience of PV system design / Installation
• Experience working on commercial Grid-Tie PV systems
• Familiarity with commercial/industrial construction installations
• Ability to optimize the system for cost reduction/performance
• Excellent communication skills with us as it is an urgent project and relying on your expertise to achieve the best result.
