Smart Solar Shade Design Assistance
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm in the midst of creating a smart solar shade. This innovative project integrates solar panels into the slats of the blinds. I already have a basic slat that can hold the panel, but I'm seeking help to enhance its functionality.
The goal is to configure these blinds to connect in pairs, allowing them to be turned by a servo motor housed within the unit. I also want this system to be able to retract like a standard mini blind.
Currently, I'm facing challenges in several key areas:
- Fully enclosing the solar panels
- Properly routing the wires
- Developing an effective actuation mechanism
While I need assistance with all aspects of the design, my primary focus is on the actuation mechanism. I plan to use an electromechanical system for this purpose.
Ideal candidates for this project should have extensive experience with electromechanical systems and actuating mechanisms. Proficiency in design and engineering, particularly with integrating solar technology into conventional systems, will be highly advantageous.
