SIMULINK Model for Synthetic Inertia Analysis - 07/07/2025 09:03 EDT

Job ID: 39584101

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I need a SIMULINK model to analyze frequency stability in low inertia power systems using synthetic inertia from DFIG-based wind turbines. Kundur's Two-Area System will be used.

Key tasks include:

Frequency Stability Analysis:
- Simulate single generator trips (N-1 events) under stressed load conditions.
- Analyze simulation results: Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) and Frequency Nadir.

Transient Stability Analysis:
- Simulate three-phase short-circuit faults.
- Determine Critical Clearing Time (CCT) through iterative tests.

Open to parameter suggestions for synthetic inertia implementation.

Ideal skills and experience:
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink (R2024b).
- Strong understanding of power systems and stability analysis.
- Experience with DFIG and synthetic inertia concepts.

I started developing the model but could not reach steady state even without the wind farm connected (see "withSystemPSSandSTG.slx"). Essentially i want something similar to "powerPSS_dfig2.mdl" which is taken from open sources but does not work due to unknown errors.
