Renewables

Hi,
I found your profile on Freelancer.com and I was hoping to share an idea based on the skills you have
My friend and I are currently working on an idea called power as a service and what this means is that we supply electricity to specific scenarios where conventional means are not possible or more expensive to employ a generator.

So think outdoor events, remote events or time-based events etc. I believe we are limited by our imagination due to the power issues in Nigeria and also with the increase of fuel prices both recently or in the future.

How are we going to supply this power? I hope this is the question you are asking and I am glad to answer it. By using renewable. Solar, wind, tidal and we deliver to people with the help of batteries.

I don't expect a middle-class family to afford solar panels and an inverter in their home but I am sure they would be happy to rent a battery pack especially if they can afford a generator.

There is no difference between batteries or borrowing someone a generator from a business point of view which many companies do already.

I want to take it a step further and make it a lot cheaper.

A typical solar panel can last up to 25 years and Nigeria is ideally close to the equator.
And a battery can survive over 2000 charge and discharge cycles.

So excluding the initial cost for now.
If you make NGN1,000 for each time you rent a battery out to the time battery finishes its lifespan (2,000 cycles) you have made roughly NGN2,000,000. and this is on the low end.

I have other ideas around this but hoping to share them with people interested in joining the project.

I am not rich and I can't offer you anything but an equal partnership in whatever we do. I am looking for dedicated people as well and people that believe in the renewable movement.

I hope this is you.

Kind regards
