Raspberry Pi Integration with Vending Machine Dispenser for Smart Vending Machine

I'm currently working on a project to develop a smart vending machine using a Raspberry Pi as the central controller, and I'm looking for expert assistance to achieve this goal.
The primary task of this project is to control the vending machine's dispensers directly from the Raspberry Pi. I've already developed a web application for user interaction and now I'm focusing on interfacing the Raspberry Pi with the vending machine's hardware components, specifically the dispensers.
The scope of the work will include:
Hardware Setup: Providing guidance on the hardware setup, which will include advice on how to safely connect the Raspberry Pi to the dispenser motors using the GPIO pins. Recommendations on any additional sensors needed for error detection and inventory management are also welcomed.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist in testing and troubleshooting the hardware to ensure reliable and consistent operation.
Required Skills:
Raspberry Pi experience
Understanding of vending machine dispenser operation would be advantageous
Ability to work collaboratively on a project
