PCB Debugging & Correction – Looking for Experienced Hardware Engineer
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Job Post: Senior PCB Design Reviewer (Schematic + PCB QA)
We are looking for an experienced Senior PCB Design Engineer to perform a deep technical review of an existing hardware design (Schematic + PCB).
The board is already manufactured and partially tested, and we are facing several functional issues that require expert diagnosis and correction.
This is not a redesign from scratch — the primary task is to audit, debug, and guide fixes on our current design.
Scope of Work
1. Schematic Review
Validate all component connections and pin assignments
Identify incorrect net connections and missing design rules
Review analog, digital, and power domains
Validate voltage dividers, drivers, IO mapping, and power paths
Verify component selection and supervisor/driver circuits
Check ground references and return paths
2. PCB Layout Review
Inspect routing quality (analog, digital, power, mixed-signal)
Identify incorrect or risky trace routing
Verify trace widths for current requirements
Check placement of components around DC-DC converters
Review decoupling strategy and capacitor placement
Inspect ground plane integrity and return loops
Identify layer transition issues and via routing problems
Verify RF module routing clearances
3. Issue Identification & Debugging
We have observed issues such as:
Incorrect ADC readings
Power not reaching ESP32 from battery path
Valves not triggering
Possible routing mistakes affecting signal flow
You will be required to:
Trace and identify root cause problems
Highlight incorrect nets, broken paths, or layout mistakes
Suggest specific fixes with clear annotations
4. Deliverables
A detailed review report (PDF or DOC)
Annotated screenshots highlighting issues and fixes
Corrected schematic suggestions (if needed)
Corrected PCB routing guidance
Recommendations for improving reliability and manufacturability
Required Skills
5+ years experience in PCB design & review
Strong knowledge of ESP32-based boards
Experience with DC-DC converters, MOSFET drivers, voltage dividers
Understanding of mixed-signal design practices
Ability to debug real-world hardware issues
Proficiency with Altium, KiCad, or similar EDA tools
Experience reviewing multi-layer boards
Strong understanding of grounding, decoupling, EMI/EMC basics
Additional Notes
The project requires a deep dive, not a superficial review
We will provide the full schematic, PCB files, BOM, and test results
Looking for someone who can identify issues quickly and propose precise fixes
