The goal is to create a small, robust sensor device that includes an IMU unit, accelerometer, gyroscope, battery management system, and Bluetooth connectivity, among other features. The device will store data locally and transmit it via Bluetooth, Support over-the-air (OTA) updates, and NFC pairing.


Hardware Requirements
---------------------
- IMU unit: Accelerometer and Gyroscope
- Battery
Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery: Long-lasting and compact, suitable for frequent recharging.
Battery Management System (BMS): Ensures safe charging and discharging.
Charging Port: USB-C for recharging.
- LED indicator
Status LED: Indicates power, connection status, and low battery.
- Microcontroller
Low-power Microcontroller: Manages sensor data processing and communication.
**See if we are using IMU with sufficient MCU already.
- Data Storage
Internal Flash Storage: For storing sensor data when not connected to the app.
- Bluetooth Connectivity
for connectivity and data transmission
- WakeUp Detection
Activate the device when motion is detected to save battery life when not in use.
- NFC Tag
Enable Bluetooth Pairing Via NFC Tag

Software Requirements
----------------------
- Ensure data readings are stored in internal flash memory and easily transferable via BLE (in real time) / via USB for manual export (Manual Export Feature should be configurable).
- Communication via SDK, BLE + Enable two way communication support.
- OTA Updates Support
Enables firmware updates over the air to keep the device software up-to-date.
- While using bosch fusion sensor tech software, ensure we are also sending data processed from it.
Like step count, activity recognition, etc.

Final Deliverables
------------------
- A working PCB along with Design.
- Updated Firmware
- Data Output should have
a. Step count algorithm result inbuilt in BOSCH sensors (Calibrate/tune the sensors for the correct results
b. Activity recognized
c. Raw Accelerometer and Gyroscope Data
d. Pre Meta Information (like device ID or any that we will share with you explicitly)
e. Repetition Count (this is also built into the BOSCH’s sensor software**)
(open to discussing the approaches to achieve it)


Note: We prefer BOSCH's latest sensors, open to other sensor recommendations and comparisons.
Added advantage of delivering a basic app to interact with the above device.
