Instrument Development for Inducing Filament Failure
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Job Title:
Seeking Engineer to Develop an Instrument for Inducing Filament Failure
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced mechanical or electrical engineer to design and develop an instrument that can intentionally cause filament failure for testing and quality control purposes. The device should be capable of inducing controlled failures in filament materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, or other polymers.
Key Requirements:
Expertise in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or material science
Knowledge of filament materials and their failure characteristics
Experience with designing mechanical or electronic failure-inducing mechanisms (e.g., cutters, heaters, tensioners)
Ability to prototype and test the instrument
Develop one complete instrument that meets the requirements
Preferred Skills:
Experience with polymer testing and material degradation
Familiarity with sensor-based failure detection
Ability to create a proof-of-concept or working prototype
Project Scope:
The freelancer will be responsible for:
Proposing a method to induce filament failure (e.g., breakage, melting, overheating, or tangling)
Designing and building a prototype
"Developing one complete instrument"
Providing documentation and test results
If you have experience in this field and can develop a reliable solution, we'd love to hear from you!
