Industrial Power Conditioner Design
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I'm seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design an electrical power conditioner specifically for industrial equipment. The primary purpose of this device is surge protection.
Key Requirements:
- Must include remote monitoring capabilities.
- Should have high energy efficiency.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in power conditioning and surge protection.
- Experience designing systems with remote monitoring features. Here's a version rewritten to pull the right caliber of engineer while keeping the proprietary details behind your NDA gate:
Electrical Engineer, Industrial Power Conditioner Design (Patent Pending Product)
C3 EIQ LLC is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to complete the production design of a patent pending industrial power conditioning system now moving into manufacturing. The product integrates transient voltage surge suppression, power factor correction with detuned filtering, and revenue grade monitoring into a factory built assembly for commercial and industrial facilities, 208 through 600 volt, three phase.
Scope of Work:
Production ready schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for a UL 508A listed industrial control assembly
Component integration: UL 1449 surge protective devices, capacitor banks, detuned filter reactors, metering with remote telemetry, and phase monitoring
Conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding/bonding design per NEC
Submittal packages and shop drawings for UL certified build partners
Design support through first article build and bench testing
Ideal Background:
Licensed PE or equivalent industrial experience in power quality, surge protection, or power factor correction equipment
Hands on UL 508A panel design experience, working directly with certified panel shops
Familiarity with UL 1449 SPDs, harmonic mitigation, and energy efficiency measurement (IPMVP a plus)
Able to work from existing engineering documentation, the core architecture is defined, this role executes it to production standard
Detailed drawings and specifications are released after NDA. Please include a portfolio of similar industrial assemblies, your UL 508A experience, and relevant licensure or certifications.
- Strong background in energy efficiency standards and practices.
Please provide a portfolio showcasing similar projects and any relevant certifications.
