Industrial Emergency Backup Genset Specification

Job ID: 40225555

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a comprehensive specification package for a generator set that will serve as an emergency backup at an industrial site. The unit must deliver more than 50 kW and be sized, selected, and laid out so that it can start automatically when grid power fails and keep critical plant loads online until utility service is restored.

What I am looking for:
• Load assessment and sizing calculations that justify the recommended kVA/kW rating (above 50 kW).
• A shortlist of commercially available diesel or gas gensets that meet those requirements, including model numbers, fuel consumption tables, and compliance with local emission standards.
• A single-line diagram showing the genset, automatic transfer switch (ATS), and main distribution connections.
• An installation layout indicating footprint, ventilation, exhaust routing, and vibration isolation suitable for an industrial floor.
• Basic control philosophy: start/stop logic, alarms, and remote monitoring options.
• Maintenance schedule and spare-parts recommendations for reliable long-term use in an emergency-only duty cycle.

If you have experience specifying or commissioning large-frame gensets for factories or processing plants, your insights on vendor reliability and after-sales support will be highly valued. Please outline your relevant projects and the standards you normally design to (e.g., ISO 8528, NEC, IEC, PLN, or local codes).
