Hourly US MEP AutoCAD Drafting
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I need an experienced MEP drafter who can jump into ongoing U.S-based projects and bill strictly by the hour—no per-project proposals, please. You’ll be preparing and updating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings in AutoCAD, coordinating with my mark-ups or redlines as they come in.
Because the work is for American jobs, every sheet you touch must respect the governing standards: ASHRAE for HVAC, the NEC for electrical layouts, and the UPC for plumbing details. If you already navigate those codes daily, this will feel familiar; if not, it will be tough to keep pace.
Typical tasks include cleaning up existing backgrounds, routing ductwork and piping, annotating electrical circuits, generating schedules, and packaging DWGs and PDFs for submittal. Turnaround varies, so the ability to log on, pick up a task, and track hours transparently is essential.
Deliverables I expect for each assignment
• Updated AutoCAD DWG files, fully coordinated across M, E, and P disciplines
• Matching PDF sets ready for review
• A brief hour log describing what was done in that session
Files must open error-free in AutoCAD 2020 or later and comply with the stated codes—no exceptions. If you’re comfortable working this way, let’s talk and get you connected to the first batch of mark-ups.
