High-Torque E-Bike Motor Design on ansys maxwel

Job ID: 39919969

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

I need a concise yet technically sound design for a surface-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous motor intended for an e-bike. The priority is high torque, so every design choice should favor torque density while still keeping overall weight reasonable.

Key parameters
• Topology: surface-mounted PMSM
• Phases: three-phase winding
• Cooling: passive air-cooled housing (no liquid circuit)

What I expect
• A basic electromagnetic blueprint detailing stator/rotor geometry, magnet specs, slot/pole count, and expected torque curve.
• Finite-element or equivalent simulation screenshots that verify the expected performance at typical e-bike voltage and current ranges.
• A simple 3D or 2D CAD drawing I can hand to a mechanical engineer for enclosure integration.
• Brief notes on material choices and winding strategy to keep manufacturing feasible and cost-effective.

Scope is limited to this initial concept; I do not need a full production-ready package or thermal CFD run at this stage. If the concept checks out, I may open a follow-on project for refinement and prototyping.

Please share any relevant motor-design experience or examples of similar high-torque e-mobility work when you respond.
