Firmware drivers and hardware for dsPic and nRF52 - Project 1

Job ID: 38214965

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 AUD

We have an existing dsPIC system with CC1101 433mhz radio system that needs additional capabilities especially the addition of BLE 5.0 broadcast with nRF52 chips yet retain full backward compatibility by also retaining the dsPIC and the CC1101. To simplify and minimise project risks the existing dsPIC33EP512GP506 will be retained so that the application layer and most of the drivers including pin assignments remain unchanged.

The project is broken into 4 stages.
1) Direct drop in Replacement main PCBA with new versions plus updated infrared circuit peripheral to now include RGB LED and LED strip circuit to include RGB with TSOP receiver.
2) Integration with iBeacon
3) New Head IR Sensor design which will add BLE direct communication
4) Hardware and Firmware design on a new eWand product

For bidding only quote on project 1. However I'm looking for a long term developer to work with to complete all 4 projects.

Key skills:
* Hardware and Firmware working with Microchip dsPIC's
* Experience working with nRF52 modules for BLE
* BLE 5, ideally with some iBeacon experience.
* Sourcing components.

Our company will pay for any components required including sample PCBA production from our supplier Sunlight in China. We will also supply 2 working sets of the current SATR3 electronics including all peripherals.
Some countries have issues importing CC1101 433mhz system such as India and Pakistan, please don't quote if your in one of these countries.

For each project we will only pay one final milestone. It will not be possible for each project to verify success until sample hardware and firmware is supplied to Pathfinder Events in Australia for verification.

I'm looking for an experienced firmware developer to work on a wireless communication project involving dsPic and nRF52. The main goal of this project is to establish a stable and efficient Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection between the two devices.

Key Project Details:
- Wireless Communication: The primary purpose of this development is to establish a reliable and robust BLE connection between the dsPic and nRF52.
- BLE Protocol: Proficiency in BLE is crucial. You should have a strong understanding of how BLE operates, its limitations, and how to optimize its performance within this specific context.
- Multiple Device Support: The firmware must support multiple BLE device connections simultaneously. This feature is essential for the functionality of the final product.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in BLE Development: Knowledge and experience in developing and optimizing BLE firmware is a must for this project.
- Proficient in C Programming: Both dsPic and nRF52 typically use C programming, so a strong background in this language is required.

IMPORTANT NOTES
* Don't bid until you have read and fully understoon the attached documentation.
* I will not renegotiate price after acceping a bid! Ask me any questions you (after you have read the specification, don't ask questions before that!) like before providing your final bid on project 1.
* You accept there will only be 1 milestone payment at the end of each project.
* Your bidding now just on project 1, but need to have to skills and equipment to do all projects in succession in a reasonable time frame and cost.
