Electrical engineer to help in final stages of building a 230v, 10 uv lamp tanning bed
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
What is a tanning bed? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indoor_tanning
This is a project that I nearly completed when the lockdown started. I'm trying to finish it now. I have all the components and I need an electrical engineer to help me put it together and make sure it works and its' safe.
I had quite a lot of help from an engineer called Bessam on Upwork and I think he was excellent. Unfortunately he is busy working on other projects so can't help me finish the job. But I have all our correspondence and he did 2 beautiful wiring diagrams, One for 230 v and one for 120 v.
I have all the components in a storage room. It does not have an electrical supply.
So this is how want to proceed:
1. I need you to check that I have all the correct electrical components. I will show you links to them on the RS components website.
2. The bed is made from laser cut and folded aluminium. I will do a temporary, first fit by putting the parts together using tape. I will put all the lamp holders in place and fit the lamps and cut the wiring to fit using Besslam's wirine diagram.
3. I will then send you a photo of the first fit and ask you to check how I'm putting all the wiring etc. together.
4. Once I have everything assembled and wired up, (hopefully correctly) I will bring the bed (it only weighs 14 kilos) to a workshop with electrical supply. Hopefully the bed will work as intended when I plug it in. But I will contact you whether it works as intended or not. If not, I'll ask you to help me trouble shoot. Once it works I will ask you to help me check all the wiring for safety with a multimeter.
