Electrical CAD Drafting – Service Plans + Store Lighting Layout + Material Takeoff
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for an experienced electrical CAD drafter / MEP designer to convert our existing hand-sketched electrical drawings into a clean digital set in AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit.
This project is for a multi-unit commercial building renovation in Indianapolis that includes:
- Laundromat – 800A service
- Convenience Store – 400A service
- Retail Store – 200A service
Total service coordination: approximately 1200A
The main goal is NOT permit submission at this stage.
The main goal is to create accurate drawings so we can determine exactly:
- Required equipment
- Switchboards / panels
- CT cabinet setup
- Disconnects
- Breakers
- Conduit sizes
- Wire sizes and quantities
- Grounding requirements
- Feeder routing
- Material takeoff for purchasing
- Accurate contractor pricing and final quote
- Interior store lighting layout for the convenience store and retail areas
- Lighting fixture placement and switching layout
We already have:
- Hand sketches
- Existing electrical layouts
- Interior and exterior service drawings
- Panel schedules
- Utility room layout
- MDP / panel information
- Service entrance details
- Engineer available for final review if needed
We need someone to professionally redraw the system into a clean construction-ready electrical set that allows us to properly price and purchase all required materials, including the lighting layout for the store spaces.
This may require revisions later after final coordination with the utility engineer and power company (AES) if adjustments are needed for utility approval.
Important:
This is not full design from scratch. The system is already planned and sketched — we need professional drafting, cleanup, accurate material takeoff preparation, and lighting layout coordination.
Experience with:
- Commercial electrical services
- Multi-tenant service upgrades
- CT cabinets
- MDP layouts
- Utility coordination
- Material takeoffs
- Service entrance drawings
- Retail lighting layouts
