ESP12F Power Regulation & IoT Integration

I'm looking for an experienced engineer to help me integrate an ESP-12F module into a Li-ion powered IoT device. The challenge lies in providing a stable 3.3V from a Li-ion cell that can reach 4.2V when fully charged, without using a booster.
Key tasks:
- Design a power regulation system to safely power the ESP-12F from the Li-ion cell.
- Integrate the ESP-12F into the IoT device.
- Ensure the power system meets moderate power usage requirements.
