Design of a scalable solar DC fast charging station for electric vehicles

I am looking for a certified electrical engineer to create design documents for a scalable, DC fast charging solar station for electric vehicles. The design will be site-specific and must be suitable for installation in urban areas and commercial properties. We aim to design fast-charging solar stations that are scalable in terms of energy capacity. The design will have to take into account the fact that we could start operations with a 150KW station and rapidly increase to 4 stations per site, i.e. a minimum expected capacity per station of 150 kW up to a maximum of 600KW.

We have several sites across sub-Saharan Africa for which we need design documents.

Main requirements:

- Design a fast-charging station for DC electric vehicles: The project calls for the complete design of a solar-powered fast-charging station for DC electric vehicles capable of powering between one (1) and (4) four terminals with a unit power of 150KW.

- Suitability for urban areas and commercial properties: The station must be optimized for urban areas and commercial properties.

- High capacity: The charging station must be able to charge between 150 kW and 600 KW, i.e. one to four 150 KW charging stations per station.

- Analysis of the solar potential of the site(s) where fast-charging stations will be installed
- Estimation of the number of charging stations to be installed, based on the solar energy that can be produced per day and over the year, taking into account the seasons (dry vs. rainy).

- Dimensioning, design and illustration of the solar field optimized for peak power requirements.

- Illustration of the wiring and connection diagram between solar field, technical room and terminals.

- Sizing of the battery park, based on lithium-ion batteries, to ensure energy autonomy in the evenings and/or in the event of lack of sunlight.

- Quantification of electrical equipment and accessories to be purchased for the station. (Depending on the type of configuration).

Unit power of solar panels: 500Wp

The ideal skills for this project are as follows:

- Experience in designing EV charging stations
- Knowledge of urban and commercial design requirements
- Understanding of high-capacity electrical systems
- Proficiency in appropriate design software
- Certified engineer able to sign and stamp documents for submission in multiple states.
