Build a Interactive Phone Charger Prototype
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I would like to build a wireless phone charger that lights up in a specific color when the phone is charging. The colors are guided by a numerical value between 0 - 100 sent to the charger. A specific range will be given, say 50 - 70 where 50 is dark red, and 70 is bright green. The range in between is shifting from red to yellow to green.
The value will be provided via an API. The charger should automatically light up as soon as it is connected or plugged (that is ready to use). The user will then be able to view the charger and note the color before placing the phone on top to charge.
How the charger receives the API signal is something where youd have to suggest a solution for in your answering bid. Also include the work spidermonkey in your heading of the bid. My guess would be to include a wifi enabled arduino that connects to the closes wifi available and retrieves the data. That would include a basic setup of the wifi on the charger, perhaps via a rudimentary app, but this is fine. If this is the route you choose please explain the setup as well. If you choose a different route please do describe also that setup. To accept a bid, i will require a detailed description of how this setup will work. If not your bid will be rejected.
This is a prototype, so do not worry to much about design, the important part is that it works as requested. The included image are just for inspiration. I do however need everything to fit inside the "charger box".
